Adelaide Cellar Door

Adelaide Cellar Door is a people business as well as a wine business. We have developed our online wine outlet to connect wine lovers (Australia wide and across Asia) to a selection of interesting wines, from small family owned South Australian wineries. Approx 70% of Australia’s premium wines come from SA!

Retail consolidation has created a significant barrier to smaller wineries getting their great wines to consumers. We provide an efficient and cost effective retail outlet for these enthusiastic winemakers, who provide the wine on this site to you at significant savings. Few of our wines will be found on retail shelves and our list will remain small, focused and interesting.

We guarantee the quality of the wines we represent. All of our wines are independently assessed for price and quality before we list them on the site. If you like the wines, please tell your friends! If you are unhappy with your selection, simply return the unopened bottles for a full refund or exchange.

Shopping with Adelaide Cellar Door

Adelaide Cellar Door allows you to purchase wine direct from premium growers and winemakers.

Online.....Simply browse the wine lists, select the wine you wish to purchase and click on the Add to Cart button. You can buy in a six pack or 12 bottle case and you can mix and match as many different wines as you like, so long as it adds up to a multiple of 6.

When ready, click on the View Cart button and then if happy with your selections, click on the Check Out button, fill in name and delivery address details and finally click on the Submit Order button to enter your credit card details

If you would like to provide a User name and password when you register your details, then we will store those details for you to re-use each time you log on.

For your security and peace of mind, we do not store your credit card details anywhere.

You will receive an email from us confirming your order and payment.

Introducing the Cellar Selection. 

 
Each month, we send out six top quality wines.

  • You can nominate Red Wines, White Wines or a Mix of both.
  • You can choose to receive more than one case (six wines) if you like.
  • You get to sample each of the wines from our extensive catalogue from over 50 different wineries and we will endeavour to avoid repetition.
  • You are guaranteed savings on our regular (already low) advertised prices.
  • You can be assured of the quality of our wines because we only include wines that have been tasted, assessed, and selected by our panel of wine experts.
  • Your wines will be delivered to your home, office or nominated location hassle free. 

How do I join? You can choose to receive just one selection that takes your fancy or you can become a regular and receive the selection each month. Either way, simply send us an email stating your preference for reds, white or mix and let us know your delivery address or phone us on (08) 8447 2501, then sit back and relax and wait for your selection to be delivered to your door.

Can I cancel my membership? Certainly, just give us a call any time up to a week before the next delivery.

Can I change my selection? You can change your selection or skip any delivery anytime up to a week before the next delivery. You may like to alter a bottle or two and customize your order to suit you.

How much will they cost? The wines will vary in price each month, depending on the particular selection but you can be assured, Adelaide Cellar Door prices are well below recommended retail prices for the quality of wines we provide. We anticipate about $100/6pack.

Note: Our usual subsidised freight charges will apply. eg Adelaide - free, Sydney $7.73, Melbourne $6.45, Brisbane $9.70, Perth $14.45, Darwin $17.70, Hobart $19.78 (Delivery cost is the same for 6 or 12 bottles)

How will I pay? We can keep your credit card on file or we can send you an invoice with the goods & phone monthly for your payment details.

When will they arrive? We will send you a new case of wine automatically in the second week of every month. Two weeks prior to this we will send you an email to let you know which wines will be in the next Sampler.

What if we are going away on holidays? Simple, just give us a call a week before and give us your holiday address or postpone or cancel that month's delivery.

Payment options

We use Eway for our online credit card transactions, as they have a respected, independent, encrypted internet payment system.

Using this system, verification of the transaction is almost instant. Adelaide Cellar Door cannot access your card details and your personal information is always encrypted when it is being transferred on line.

If you are not comfortable purchasing over the internet, call us on (08) 8447 2501 and we will be pleased to take your order over the phone. We can process your payment by credit card or we will accept cheques from customers known to us.

Delivery

We deliver to the address you specify in the delivery instructions.

We use Australia Post parcel delivery services and normally deliver your order within 5 business days from the purchase date. Please advise us if you have not received your wine by this time and we will follow up immediately.

Wine is delivered free in the Adelaide metropolitan area. For other areas we subsidise the freight. Just enter your post code in to the freight calculator when purchasing wine to see the freight charges which are applicable to you.

Returns & refunds

Adelaide Cellar Door and the family owned wineries we represent guarantee the wines we sell.

In fact, if you are not happy, we want to be the first to now.

Fundraising Programs

Adelaide Cellar Door has developed a unique fundraising program for organisations wanting to raise money by selling wine through schools, clubs or charities, community groups etc. It provides greater satisfaction than a raffle where only a few are winners, and provides better return for your efforts.

 Typically there will be $1,300 to $2,000 profit for every pallet (64 cases) of wine sold. Will there be 64 families or friends involved?.....sounds simple.

We have had plenty of experience selling wine and having been involved in excess of 50 fundraisers and will be happy to help you put together, organize and market your whole fundraising program. If you like, the fundraiser can be run online. You can email your target market Australia-wide and they can order and pay for their wine via our website and we will deliver the wine direct to your customers. The profit margin goes to your fundraising committee.

Alternatively you can sell the wine to your 'community' of families and friends and send us the order for delivery to you or your customers. In addition we can, with some of our wines, create a personalised label to commemorate the occasion and give greater meaning to the wine purchased.

Personalised Labels

We are happy to produce special labels for you to commemorate a special occasion, for fundraising events or for business promotion.

We require a simple black and white artwork of your design supplied as a jpeg or bmp then we will send you some options choose from for the final design.

We have a one-off charge of $50.00 for creating the initial label design. Thereafter we simply print and apply your label with each order.

Wine Tastings

We can assist you in holding a wine tasting at your home, office or function centre.

Work Colleagues: It is a great excuse to stock up on quality wines and get together with staff.

Client Tasting: Invite your VIP clients to an event to showcase your company and hold a casual wine tasting to add an incentive and break the ice.

Fundraising: Get a group of interested people together for a wine tasting to which they pay an admission charge and this can go towards your fundraising activities.

Cost? For small groups you can pay $10 per person (minimum cost $50) to cover costs of wine tasted and then be reimbursed with $10 for every order placed on the night. For larger groups of say 15-25, we would suggest purchasing the wine at our special wholesale rate.
